Trip to the Store

I have decided that in the next couple of a weeks I'm going to be baking up a storm. I want to be able to do cupcakes and cookies as Christmas Presents for people but lets get real, I'm probably not going to have them done in time for that. At least to my liking anyway, what can I say I'm a perfectionist.

Anywho. I took a trip to Wally World with the hubby and mother-in-law to get some tools and ingredients. We were in desperate need of some rubber spatulas, an ice cream scoop, and a lot of baking ingredients.

UPDATE:
I was able to go to Wally World again today and picked up containers to ship cookies in, tissue paper to put in the containers, shrink wrap to wrap the containers, and bubble wrap to wrap them again. I'll probably be making the cookies over the weekend to be shipped out on Monday. Stay tuned for updates ;)

What I'm About:

So since I haven't gone through my pictures and actually made anything recently, I thought it would be a good idea to post *something* and I figured telling you my blog goals would be a good place to start. Now I haven't gone to culinary school and I have no plans to as I'm going to school to be an elementary school teacher. This doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with culinary school, just that it's not my cup of tea (LOL). Here are the things that you might see surfing around my blog:

• FOODIE WISE:
• Recipes that I remember from my childhood
• Recipes of things that I myself have thrown together (they may be twists on old favorites)
• Different things that I have gotten around the web or in magazines and have decided to try (don't worry credit will be given to the original source, my own pictures will be used, this will just be my trying out those recipes)
• Crafts Wise:
• Crafts that I remember from summer camps...or as I like to call them "The Oldies but Goodies"
• Crafts that I come up with
• Newer crafts from other sources (i.e. Perler Beads that I have done etc.)
• Book Wise:
• I love reading all kinds of different books so you might find me talking about books that I have read, want to read, etc.

That should cover *most* of what you will find here, however, I do reserve the right to just WOW you with some of my off the wall stuff that I come up with. Also, don't be surprised if my dog or birds make an appearance from time to time.
